Description

Tender and succulent boneless fish cubes marinated in a vibrant blend of yogurt, lemon juice, and aromatic spices. Pan-grilled to perfection with a smoky coal finish, this flavorful appetizer is served with fresh chutney and salad.

Ingredients
  • 500 gm boneless fish cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp whole spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp whole coriander seeds (dry roasted and coarsely crushed)
  • 1/4 tsp orange food colour
  • 1 -2 tbsp roasted gram flour
  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 6 -8 garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions

    Add all spices, food colour, garlic into yogurt.

    Add only half of fenugreek leaves in marinade at this stage.

    Gradually add gram flour into yogurt.

    Mix well to make smooth paste.

    Marinate fish and veggies in marinade for 15-30 minutes.

    Skewer the fish pieces and veggies, keeping hard vegetables on sides.

    Heat a grill pan.

    Drizzle some oil and butter.

    Place skewer on pan.

    Cook at medium to low flame.

    Turn skewer when one side is cooked, at least 4-6 minutes per side.

    Smoke tikka with burning coal.

    Serve with chutney & salad.
