Description

Extra crispy, golden, and flavorful spicy fried chicken tenders made with a tangy buttermilk marinade and a heavily seasoned flour coating.

Ingredients

Coating Mix:

Instructions

  1. Mix milk and vinegar together to form buttermilk, season with salt and black pepper, and marinate the chicken tenders for 2-3 hours.
  2. In a wide dish, combine all the coating mix ingredients: all-purpose flour, chilli flakes, chilli powder, black pepper powder, cornflour, garlic powder, ajinomoto, and dried oregano.
  3. Coat each marinated piece of chicken thoroughly in the seasoned flour mix. (Note: Can be stored in the freezer at this stage).
  4. Deep-fry the coated chicken tenders in hot oil for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Note

Marinating the chicken in buttermilk ensures the meat stays moist and tender on the inside while frying.

You can prepare and freeze the coated chicken tenders ahead of time for quick frying later.
