Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Boil three potatoes until soft and mash them well.
  2. Heat a little oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, nigella seeds, and mustard seeds for a baghaar (tempering).
  3. Add the mashed boiled potatoes along with salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder, then mix thoroughly to prepare the potato filling.
  4. Melt butter in a pan, add half an onion, and sauté shredded boiled chicken breast.
  5. Add finely grated capsicum, carrot, and cabbage, season with salt, black pepper, and oregano, and sauté on high heat.
  6. Add one tablespoon of maida, sauté briefly, then pour in milk and mix until the filling thickens and becomes creamy.
  7. For the sweet apple filling, slice two apples, add sugar and cinnamon powder along with a tablespoon of water, and cook until softened.
  8. Stir in a teaspoon of maida and cook until the apple mixture thickens.
  9. Flatten the bread slices using a rolling pin (or gently steam them if hard to soften).
  10. Cut the edges of the bread slices.
  11. Spread the potato filling onto a flattened bread slice, place a breakfast strip if desired, and roll it up, sealing the edges with a thin maida and water slurry.
  12. For the chicken sandwich version, place chicken filling between two bread slices sealed with slurry, cut into round shapes, and press the edges with a fork.
  13. Dip the prepared rolls into the slurry and coat them with bread crumbs before freezing or cooking.
